Financial assistance for participation in conferences, workshops and training courses

Subject to the availability of funds, the Equal Opportunities Commission of the Faculty of Human Sciences provides female early career researchers at the Faculty with financial assistance to cover travel expenses and conference attendance fees. To be eligible for this financial assistance, researchers must hold a Master’s, Magister, State Examination or Diplom degree or higher and must be making a contribution at the conference or training course. That contribution must be related to the applicant’s qualification project. The following expenses are reimbursable: conference attendance fees, travel and accommodation expenses (in compliance with the provisions of the Bayerisches Reisekostengesetz (Bavarian Travel Expenses Act, BayRKG)) and per diem allowances for business travel that cannot be paid for from other funds.

  1. Curriculum vitae (1 page max.)
  2. Details of the applicant’s contribution (1 page max.) including contribution title and type
  3. Breakdown of (expected) expenses (travel expenses and conference attendance fees); funding is capped at €500 for contributions made at events in Germany, at €750 for contributions made at events in other countries in Europe and at €1,000 for contributions made at events outside Europe
  4. Statement of the amount of funding requested

Award decisions will be made by the members of the Equal Opportunities Commission of the Faculty of Human Sciences in consultation with the Dean and will be based on a set of criteria. The funds are ring-fenced and must be used by the end of October 2021.
