Dissertation title: Emotional influences on moral judgments.

Abstract:When facing moral evaluations people can rely on different kinds of information. It has been repeatedly shown that different emotions play a role in moral judgments and therefore influence the evaluation of (im-) moral behavior. Yet it is still unclear what psychological mechanisms mediate this influence. This PhD-project aims on examining how emotions contribute to moral evaluations and under which circumstances people rely on emotional information in making judgments.
