Based at the Office of the Dean, the Faculty’s IT Helpdesk is financed from funds intended for student assistants. The members of the Helpdesk team assist the staff at the Faculty of Human Sciences with IT-related issues.
The Faculty of Human Sciences is based in a total of 14 locations. It has several hundred computers and peripheral devices.
To ensure that the Faculty has sufficient resources to deal with the large demand for support services, the Office of the Dean is employing student assistants who can help troubleshoot user issues. The Helpdesk’s services complement the services provided by the individual network officers and the system administrators at the Faculty’s Institutes and Chairs. In particular, the Helpdesk team collaborates with the individual network officers.
